We are motivated by the clean and unspoiled nature of Estonia, which as such can be passed on to future generations only if we adopt more alternative energy production methods.
When planning and implementing projects, we involve the local government and the community from the very beginning in order to take into account the specifics and interest groups of the region. We want to give some of the economic benefits to where the local communities need them most.
Estonia’s climate and energy policy is aimed at significantly increasing the volume of renewable energy production. The goal is to increase the share of renewable energy to 45% of final energy consumption by 2030. Estonia has great potential for solar and wind energy.
Evecons solar and wind developments are accelerating the transition to green energy and will help to reduce carbon emissions to meet the climate targets. As Baltic states are currently in energy deficency, Evecon is also contributing to Energy security, Energy equity and Enviromental sustainability.
Because solar energy is one of the most viable energy sources, solar developments are top priority for Evecon. Since 2020, Evecon has completed solar parks with combined capacity of 40MW. We have over 600 MW worth of active projects under development in different municipalities across Estonia, which are going to be connected to the grid by the end of 2024.
For selected solar developments, Evecon is going to use energy storage systems so that clean and sustainable energy will be available for consumption even at night.
Estonia has great potential for offshore and onshore wind parks. As of 2022, in Estonia there is total of 320MW onshore installed wind capacity. Evecon OÜ is developing onshore wind parks in several Estonian municipalities. Currently we have over 20 sites under development with combined over 500 MW of installed capacity.
These projects have have major significance as we are producing clean and sustainable energy and at the same time we are giving back to the people as wind developments provide many economic benefits to neighboring land owners and communities.
